It’s the dead of winter right now. But, I have the inside scoop on a beautiful exhibit that makes you forget about these freezing temperatures and feel like it’s springtime already! Going on Now until May 31st is the beautiful Butterfly Conservatory at the Museum Of Natural History. Once you enter the exhibit, you are up close and personal with all different types of butterflies and moths flying all over the place, even landing on you! The exhibit takes you through different highlights; the anatomy, metamorphosis, conservation, and lifestyle of these beautiful creatures. I remember taking a trip to the museum with my Nana when I was younger just to go to the conservatory. Now, whenever I’m at the museum or I see signs for the butterfly exhibit, I think of that day. One trip to the Butterfly Conservatory is a very memorable experience. Before stopping by the real exhibit, click HERE to check out the butterfly page on the museum’s website. The webpage has pictures, live videos of butterflies, and even teaches you fun facts – like how butterflies communicate, why they’re so colorful, and even gives you directions on how to make your very own butterfly garden! The Butterfly Conservatory is perfect for children and adults alike. The ticket prices are the same as regular museum entry: 24 for Adults, 14 for Kids, and 18 for Seniors & Students with proper ID. The Museum Of Natural History is located on Central Park West and 79th Street. To get there, take the B or C train to 81st street and walk down two blocks, or the 1 train to 79th & Broadway. Remember, it’s only open until May – so get goin people! It’s a beautiful way to beat the January blues. Who knows, maybe I’ll see you there!
