PopUpNewYork wants you to be careful when traveling through the northern sections of Central Park.
The New York City health department has issued a rabies warning for the very heart of Manhattan. Two rabid raccoons discovered this week in Central Park brings the annual citywide total of cases to 20. City employees will be enhancing their surveillance of the park to look for signs of other sick animals and are urging parkgoers who spot disoriented or aggressive animals to report them by calling the city’s 311 information line.
